Amanda and Mel, thank you for another insightful episode. What came up for me is the issue of boundaries and weather or not we call the other person out when they have clearly overstepped. My default is to 'pay the f-off money' as you called it :) because I usually don't want to waste any more energy getting into it and going back and forth with the person. But lately, I've been wondering if I should stand my ground more and say something....
Thanks Mac.. Yeah, in this case, I knew had I paid up, I would have resented it. So I'd have paid €20 + the additional emotional tax - so it wasn't 'just' €20, ya know? Had it have been 'just' €20 and no emotional tax, maybe I would have paid it, who knows?
