Mo Chara,
If you don’t recognise it, I borrowed the title / subtitle of this post from the lyrics of ‘Dance Of The Cherry Tree’ by John Spillane.
It’s a song I love from an artist who often accompanied us, musically speaking, through the journey that was ‘The Pilgrim’s Way’.
The Pilgrim’s Way was an online offering I delivered in the wake of the pandemic, facilitating a group of around 80 ‘pilgrims’, in the practice of contemplative creativity through the Celtic Year.
At the end of each season, I would celebrate the work with a video collage of my students work; kind of like an exhibition.
I can’t believe our IMBOLC celebration below was 4 years ago now. The Pilgrim’s Way was a beautiful experience, while it lasted.
If you’d like to get a taste of The Pilgrim’s Way & explore some contemplative creativity, I have a new offering for you.
This self-guided reset is designed to gently reignite your creative spark through journaling, art prompts & soulful reflection.
Perfect for anyone feeling creatively stuck or craving a return to ease, play & contemplative self-connection.
It includes 5 themed invitations with journaling prompts & supportive content, including pdfs, bite sized audio & video inspiration.
It’s just €19 and paid subscribers can get it for €15. Just click below and scroll to the end of the page for your discount link.
I’d like to share a few more things I’ve been celebrating this month.
[BTW: Comments on this post are open to everyone and I’d love to hear what you’re celebrating too]
Our first live podcast recording AND... A full circle moment of living amends
My sister Mel and I stood on a stage in front of a sold-out crowd & shared how we found healing & forgiveness after a difficult period of conflict and pain.
You can listen here:
What happened between us wasn’t tidy.
It wasn’t a single moment of forgiveness. It was a slow, mutual unraveling. A choosing, again and again, to not let our past define our future.
And it only worked because we both did our inner work.
But for every reconciliation story, there’s a dozen more stories where the other person never looked back. Where the harm was minimised, or denied. Where the apology never came.
And so I wrote this piece for anyone who’s still waiting:
Waiting for an Apology That Never Comes
There’s a particular kind of pain that doesn’t come from the original wound, but from what never followed:
I Welcomed My First Niece
Her name is Maeve. She is a little queen and we are all besotted.
I Adopted A Dog
She’s a 2 year old Cavachon who was surrendered by her previous owners to Molly Moos Westie Rescue in Limerick.
Naturally, I’ve called her Molly. She is as sweet and gentle as could be & reminds me a lot of Ted, actually.
Keeping It Real
Spotify notified me that we’d reached a milestone with the podcast. I initially misread the stats and thought they said we’d hit 25,000 streams.
I thought “finally, at last, traction!”
Turns out... it was 2,500. Womp womp. But you know what?
That’s 2,500 times someone chose this kind of conversation.
Not noise.
Not clickbait.
But real, raw, heart & soul led listening.
We’re not going viral; we’re going deep.
And we get to be proud of that.
If you’re a listener. If you’ve chosen to tune in even just one of those 2,500 times, thank you.
We’ve released 28 episodes since October 2024

Too Messy for God?
It was morning of the day that would change our family’s life forever and I was driving to the hospital alone.
That’s it from me this month. Thanks for being here!
